The sun is shining, and luckily for us, it’s not showing signs of slowing down just yet! With plenty of summer left to enjoy, there’s no better time to check out some easy date ideas…

Bike ride

Bike rides are simple, easy and fun! If you don’t have your own bikes, rent one for the day. Those living in London will know all about how fun hiring a bike can be.

To fully enjoy the weather, pre-plan a route (no huge hills!), which takes you and your sweetheart on an exciting and picturesque trip. Though, you don’t want to be riding the bikes all day, so make sure you’ve planned somewhere cute to stop off for a quick drink or bite to eat, too.

Perfect picnic

It doesn’t get much better than a picnic in the park on a hot day, so for a unique date which keeps costs down, pack up a picnic, a blanket and some park games and head to the nearest greenery in your area.

Make sure you’ve got all the classics in your basket, but try researching some new picnic foods (there’s plenty online) to really impress, too. Don’t forget an obligatory ice cream for afters!

Outdoor cinema

Outdoor cinemas are becoming increasingly popular, and seem to be popping up everywhere this summer.

Check if there’s one running in your area for an interesting and fun date night.

If there are no local events, then make your own in your back garden! Just bring the TV out, plenty of cushions, fairy lights, and some tasty snacks and drinks.

Sports day

Not the egg and spoon or sack race you remember from school, but a great way to enjoy the sun is to organise your own personal sports day.

Head to the local park and play tennis, football, volleyball or even a bit of simple throw and catch. It’s a great way to get outside, get active, and spend time with your date.

Boat life

If you live near a river, canal or any other waterway, look at how you can hire a boat for the day.

Popular in big cities, you can now hire canal boats for an hour at a time, and sail it where you wish. You can even take your own snacks on board – a perfect and very unique afternoon awaits!
